Blue Ridge Learning Centers takes full advantage of our incredible surroundings by partnering with local guides to offer many outdoor adventure programs. We can help those looking for a comprehensive adventure experience by adding one or more of these experiences to your program schedule. All of these adventures are suitable for beginners and require no previous experience. Outdoor adventures that we can add to your schedule include:

Hiking

The High Country of NC is one of the most biologically diverse areas of the world. Hiking through the mountainous terrain offers everything from awe inspiring mountain vistas and waterfalls to lush cool forests and rhododendron tunnels! With endless amounts of trails in our area, we can help you find one with the right distance and challenge to suit the needs of your group.

Caving

Feel like a true explorer in an undeveloped and wild cave. We use caves that are safe for beginners and groups, providing an authentic and beautiful introduction to the life and landscape of the subterranean world. Main corridors are tall enough to walk through, with smaller passages branching off for those who want to experience crawling and wiggling through tight spaces.

Rock Climbing

Participants can spend a full day top-rope climbing and rappeling at one of the beautiful natural rock cliffs in the North Carolina Mountains. Whitewater Rafting
